Austin Mahone and Jamie Dee by Ian Zwick

Austin Mahone “Say Something” and Jamie Dee “Tip Toes”
Music Review
“Say something” by Austin Mahone is the definition of today’s music, party addictive beats accompanying this Justin Bieber/Drake type voice make this song an immediate hit. A weird combination but it works in a way that gives a fresh new look at today’s up in coming artists. The song to sum it up is about a teenager who has eyes for that special girl, a common theme in recent years. Justin Mahone is quite new with only 2 confirmed songs the other being “11:11”. “Say Something” is the kind of song where you walk into a room and when it comes on, it becomes a party. Its got a vibe that makes you want to dance, although my only complaint is that the lyrics could have been touched up. Overall Austin Mahone’s hit song “Say something” is definitely an example of a new era type song and I hope we get more similar to this song soon. Here’s a link Austin’s video.

When I first started listening to Jamie Dee’s single “Tip Toes” the thing I tried to do most was figure out whom she sounds like, who she is reminiscent to, and I concluded that she is like no one I have heard in a while. Her song is about a girl who likes a guy who has her on her “tip toes”. I personally had mixed feelings for the song itself, although I love Jamie Dee’s voice. Her song has a dance type beat to it and will definitely get you in the mood to, but at the same time I felt like the song was kind of relaxing which is strange. I also found Jamie’s Youtube channel which has most of her songs and covers. I hope to see more from her in the future and a song that really captures her beauty inside and out, and her amazing voice and range.
