Weird Al Yankovic Review: Straight Outta Lynwood

Weird Al Yankovic: Straight Outta Lynwood A Review by Tommy Monger

If hilarious is the funniest word to describe some thing funny, they need to make up a new word for Weird Al’s new CD. Weird Al Yankovic has had several recognizable and memorable paradises and this CD has songs that rank right up with there with “Eat it” and “The Saga Begins”. “Trapped in the Drive-Thru” and “Confessions Part III” are hilarious from start to finish. In fact, in “Trapped in the Drive-Thru”, Weird Al takes all 12 seemingly endless chapters of R. Kelly’s “Trapped in the Closet” and puts an amazing spin to it and gives it a whole new life. He also made a parody of Green Days “American Idiot” and made “Canadian Idiot” which should be far from every Canadians #1 spot on there play-list but is #1 on mine.
As usual, Weird Al did pretty much every thing a person can do on a CD. Not only writing but also producing all of his songs. Yankovic went all out while recording this CD at Volcano Entertainment and made sure he covered every thing from multi double voice tracking on “Confessions Part III” to the drip in “Trapped in the Drive-Thru”. I played this CD for everyone from my friends and their friends to my own family and everyone agreed it’s hilarious. So go ahead, get out there, and get your girlfriend, friend, wife, kid, grandfather or any one else for any occasion this CD.

Rep. Kucinich, a Democrat who represents Ohio’s 10th District, is the only presidential candidate who has agreed to host “We the Students” so far, but OSTN is working to secure a Republican for the next installment, Mr. Chopra said
